A nice letter from the Vatican:
Last October I wrote a note to Brother Guy Consolmagno AMGD care of the Vatican Observatory.  He had mentioned in an interview that he had found that people even on the brink of starvation found the study of the sky to be fascinating.  I pointed out the irony that in contrast with his work, my own had received scant attention save from Professor Robin Fox in spite of its importance.

He wrote thanking me and wished me well.  It obviously is not his burden.  Astronomy is quite far from reproduction except maybe on soft, romantic summer nights.  So let me never say that nobody answers me.  This fine man has looked at the issue, understands it and has done what he can.
